C6N1 Saiun "Myrt" - unul din cele mai avansate avioane de recunoastere fabricate de niponi. Primul zbor:15 mai 1943. Prototipul a obtinut viteza de 639 km / h. Motorul Nakajima Homare de 2000 cp nu a demonstrat calitatile scontate. Prin urmare productia de serie a fost intarziata pana in februarie 1944 cand motorul a fost mult ameliorat. Intrarea in serviciu a avut loc in septembrie 1944. Viteza de operare a fost cea solicitata in specificatiile tehnice initiale iar calitatile noului avion de recunoastere au fost exceptionale. Este edificator mesajul transmis prin telegraf, dupa o misiune reusita: "No Grummans can catch us".
