Greetings!

We are planning to release a two new mega-decal sheet to go along with Eduard's new 1/48 MiG-21 kit. On one of these sheets, in addition to markings for Lancer aircraft, we would also like to include some pre-Lancer MiG's. If anyone can assist us, please post any good photos or profiles which we can use to determine markings for this decal sheet. You can also email them to me at mgbdoug*at*comcast.net if you prefer :)

Hi Doug,

Look HERE, and the following pages. These gray machines are very much characteristic for the 1986-1996 period - the pre-lancer period.



THIS PHOTO is very interesting, becouse it shows the transition between the NMF (or painted silver?) and all-gray aircrafts. On aircraft no. 8103 you can still see the traces of the red-yellow-blue star, used until 1986 - that was overpainted with the new roundels of the same color.

Thanks for the info Xaba! Our plan right now is to provide both the star and roundel insignia's for the Romanian MiG's on our sheet :)

The sheets are back from the printers and everything looks great.

Unfortunately we have a bit of a backlog with the instruction booklets [...] so I'd put the ETA on this set at the beginning of August.
