Swanny, please note that there is a correlation between the tail number and the location of the guns on the wing. See the reference photos. The tail numer range is located on the left side of the pictures e.g. 181-230 a.s.o.

And so this project comes to an end. The kit guns have been replaced with Aires Mg-131 resin barrels. Weathering is done with sludge washes, various ground pastel chalks and a silver pencil. A full construction review is here ... http://www.swannysmo...com/IAR80C.html
Yes, she is not 100% accurate but it as fun. I still have two more unbuilt kits in the stash so I will be coming back to this model and making an attempt to come even closer to that elusive 100% including a more accurate cockpit. I also plan on making an M conversion one of these days. I want to thank all of you for your input and kind words, especially Z-Mare -- dude, you really know your IAR-80s and I saved every one of your posts for future reference.
