uite ce zice Tom Cooper (acig):
"After considerable political unrest, in 1985, in 1986 the Romanian Air Force (re-)introduced its old roundel, consisting of Romanian national colours as national marking - instead of the Red Star with a yellow and blue circle in the middle. At approximately the same time all of its MiG-21s were also repainted in a colour similar to "ghost grey", while obtaining new - four-digit - serials. This is how all of AM's MiG-21s appeared in 1989. Typical load for interception purposes at the time consisted of two R-3S (AA-2 Atoll) missiles on outboard underwing stations, and two RS-2-U (AA-1 Alkali) missiles (mounted on APU-68UM launch rails) on inboard underwing pylons, as well as a single centreline drop tank. For air-to-ground tasks, these aircraft would carry UB-16-57 rocket launchers and 100kg bombs, as well as a single centreline drop tank."
